Organic chromium supplementation increased the weight of pectoral muscles and meat of these broilers contained less amounts of fat and cholesterol. These effects were accompanied by an insignificant increase of chromium concentration in the pectoral muscles of birds fed chromium supplemented diets, from 40 to 52 microg/kg wet tissue.
